Sometimes some people do it so well, that you just have to acknowledge them, and step aside.  These would be the minds that shaped, the minds that run the financial world as it is today.

Some brilliant members of the MIT staff had a panel discussion on the status of the financial crisis on October 9, 2008.

I urge you to read the article, it explains the crisis from a higher level.  It will reinforce some confidence in the Federal Reserve, as they feel Bernanke is “one of the best people you want to see” in the midst of a crisis like this. 

Bernanke got his PhD from MIT and focused his research on the Great Depression, Long-term commitments, dynamic optimization, and the business cycle.
