Today, Monday, November 10, 2008 — we have been having great news from everywhere. Â Circuit City announcing bankruptcy, another $40 billion for AIG (guess it’s good news for them?), and now we have 2 more bank failures.

PNC buys National City (NCC) in an effort to save the regional bank form certain failure. Regional banks are still a good source of money, as individuals and small business use them for time deposit (CD) allowing PNC to increase their customer share.

The Netherlands has announced a 10 billion euros ($13.4 billion) deal with ING, in which the ING will postpone the final dividend of 2008, and seling the government on-voting preferred securities that pay 8.5 percent annual interest and don’t dilute existing shareholders.
The injection will lift ING’s core Tier 1 capital to about 8 percent.
