Today, Monday, November 10, 2008 — we have been having great news from everywhere.  Circuit City announcing bankruptcy, another $40 billion for AIG (guess it’s good news for them?), and now we have 2 more bank failures.

PNC buys National City (NCC) in an effort to save the regional bank form certain failure. Regional banks are still a good source of money, as individuals and small business use them for time deposit (CD) allowing PNC to increase their customer share.

27 Percent drop in ING, based on 3rd Quarter Loss

The Netherlands has announced a 10 billion euros ($13.4 billion) deal with ING, in which the ING will postpone the final dividend of 2008, and seling the government on-voting preferred securities that pay 8.5 percent annual interest and don’t dilute existing shareholders.
The injection will lift ING’s core Tier 1 capital to about 8 percent.
